Product Review: Kitchen Table Bakers Parmesan Crisps
I was asked to do a review on a cracker type snack made of 100% Parmesan Cheese. They are made by a company called Kitchen Table Bakers. First of all, the story behind this company was a wonderful and encouraging one. A company that was born at a kitchen table and out of a desire to satisfy a craving for something delicious. A company built the old fashioned way, by word of mouth and good hard work! I liked this product without even tasting them, or at least I hoped to after reading their story.
The cheese crisps are packaged in a plastic clam shell type container, the labeling very appealing with the product easy to view without opening the package. I like that, simple and strait forward. A promising start, for sure.
These cheese crisps come in a variety of flavors, nine in all.
- Aged Parmesan
- Sesame
- Italian Herb
- Garlic
- Jalepeno
- Flax Seed
- Rosemary
- Everything
- Minis
Serve with dips or on their own, they are a wonderful change from the ordinary. When I tasted my first one, I was not expecting to like them, I'll be honest. I did, and the flavor variety was wonderful! My kids even loved them. They all have their favorites, as do I. These cheese crisps are the perfect thing to satisfy that cracker craving that we all have from time to time.
Among my favorites were the Italian Herb, Garlic, Jalepeno and Sesame. They were all good, but those four were especially good. I loved the simplicity of them, the cheesy flavor and the richness. So good! I wasn't able to try it, but I can only imagine how wonderful they would taste with a bowl of humus to dip them in. The Jalepeno would be wonderful with a bean dip, with the spicy notes that it has. Delicious!
I haven't seen these in our local specialty food store, but I will be looking for them. They are the perfect cracker or "crisp" to bring to any gathering, everyone will enjoy them. I also like the fact that they are not only gluten-free, but also sugar and trans fat free, no GMOS and made with 100% Parmesan cheese made in the USA.
Another wonderful product for our gluten-free world. I love having choices and it seems as though we are given more of them all the time!
