Buttermilk Syrup safe

The BEST topping for pancakes, waffles and even ice cream.

This recipe goes well with any pancake or waffle recipe. We've even tried it on ice cream. So good, easy to make and reheats well. Is also easily doubled.

Prep time 5 minutes
Cooking time 7 minutes
Servings 8

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

In a saucepan, combine the first five ingredients; bring to a boil. Boil for 7 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla.

    Hey, Valerie - The first line seems to have two items no it. It reads "1 1/2 cups sugar cup butter" and then the next line has butter, too. Can you fix this?
