Cheasy Sausage Chowder safe

An easy soup to make with tasty results!

What could be better than cheese and sausage in a creamy bowl of chowder? This is comfort food at it's best!

Prep time 15 minutes
Cooking time 30 minutes
Servings 10-12

Ingredients

1 pound ground pork sausage, or your favorite
4 carrots, scrubbed and diced
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
4 medium sized Yukon Gold potatoes, diced
2 quarts chicken stock
2 cups frozen corn
1/2 cup heavy cream
8 ounces cream cheese, diced for easy melting
1 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, depending on taste
1/2 cup dried potato flakes
Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large pot, brown the sausage. Add vegetables and stock. Cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender. Add cream, cream cheese and cheddar cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and well incorporated into chowder, be careful not to stir too vigorously or the potatoes will fall apart. Once melted, stir in dried potato flakes to help thicken the chowder.
