Homemade "Maple" Syrup safe

A tasty alternative to the corn syrup flavored syrup we buy in the stores.

While REAL maple syrup is always best, this is a good substitute in a pinch. My family actually prefers it to any other. It keeps well in the refrigerator so you have it on hand for your favorite waffles or pancakes. So tasty! I usually double this recipe so we have extra for another breakfast.
