I am constantly needing a can of sweetened condensed milk for one thing or another, but never buy it. This is a great alternative to having to remember to add it to your grocery list. Made from pantry ingredients and ready in a flash.
| Prep time | 5 minutes |
| Cooking time | |
| Servings | equal to 14-ounce can |
Ingredients
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup nonfat dry milk
2/3 cup granulated sugar
few drops of vanilla
Instructions
Pour boiling water into a blender or food processor. Add the remaining ingredients. Cover blender or food processor and process on high for about 30 seconds, or until it’s smooth. Remove from blender/food processor and use immediately or store in a covered container in the refrigerator. This is not quite as thick as sweetened condensed milk from a can, but works wonderfully in every recipe I’ve tried it in.
